Package: mbmon
Version: 2.05-6
Severity: normal

I don't think this is a bug in mbmon but I don't know where else to report it.

I have two machines with identical motherboards (Asus A7N8X Deluxe).
One is running Lenny, the other Sid.
Both are running the same version of mbmon (2.05-6).
Both were working fine until a few weeks ago (don't know exactly when).
Now the Sid machine's mbmon no longer works:

chr...@xaphod:~$ sudo mbmon
No Hardware Monitor found!!
InitMBInfo: Success

There is no hardware problem, as the Windows app (Speedfan) still reads all
the sensors with no problem.

So something else in Sid seems to have stopped mbmon working. Yet they're both
running almost the same kernel (2.6.26+17 on the Lenny machine,
2.6.26+17+lenny1 (bizarrely) on the Sid machine). Both kernels have thermal,
thermal_sys, fan and processor modules loaded successfully.

Everything still works fine on the Lenny machine. I'm reporting this from the
Sid machine. Please let me know where I should look to diagnose this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help,

CC
