Hi Christian, During the wait I tested to build debian packages and backup previous configuration. Assuming there are nothing special to know to build samba packages (more than downloading build deps and running dpkg-buildpackage), now we are running a winbind instance with the patch applied.
The most recent crash we received was yesterday: 20-04-2009 - 12:41:01: winbind check failed (error code=1), restarting.. I think we should wait at least two days to see if the patch is working.
