Package: cups Version: 1.3.9-17 Severity: normal Hello,
since updating last weekend (Su, April 4th) my printer (Brother HL-2040, laser) won't print anything anymore. With the old version (should have been 1.3.9.15 or 1.3.9.14) there were no problems at all; printing worked just fine for all Linux and Windows hosts. Now (1.3.9.17 and 1.3.9.16) when trying to print (from network or print server) nothing happens except for the printer warming up, but nothing more. There are no errors in the logs (in /var/log/cups), so I don't have any clue where the problem is. Of course, I tried rebooting, reconnecting the printer, deleting and adding the printer, but nothing changed. I'm using the "official" Brother driver (lpr + cupswrapper). Any idea, what's happening (or instructions on how to debug)? Thanks in advance Volker P.S.
