Package: libopensc2
Version: 0.11.7-1
Severity: important
(This is pretty much grave to me; I use 'important' as I assume the
problem is related to the type of reader I use)
Since the upgrade from 0.11.4-5 to 0.11.7-1, the reader is no longer
shown in iceweasel, making it impossible to use.
With 0.11.4-5 I'd see 8 "OpenCT reader (detached)" entries under the
opensc security module in iceweasel, first two being populated when the
reader is plugged.
With 0.11.7-1, I see 16 "Virtual slot" entries and none of them
populates when the reader is plugged.
The reader is OmniKey CardMan 6121 USB.
With both versions the default reader.conf is not changed (i.e. it is
what the .deb ships).
Downgrading solely libopensc2 to 0.11.4-5 is sufficient for iceweasel to
see the reader again (after restarting it), even if all the rest of the
opensc packages stay at 0.11.7-1.
With both versions, "opencs-tool -l" shows the reader when plugged and
"opensc-tool -a" shows some 'ATR' in hexadecimal so I suspect something
is wrong in the communication with iceweasel. The security module loaded
is /usr/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so.
I'd gladly suply any other information you'd need or try different
things to help you solve this.
