Package: bzr Version: 1.13~rc1-1 Severity: normal When operating a ‘bzr shell’ inside a checkout, every command invocation seems to perform network activity. Possibly this is done for calculating the prompt, or possibly for some other reason; I'm not sure how to diagnose it.
This is a regression from previous versions (e.g. Bazaar 1.5), where network activity only occurred for commands which access the repository, and other commands would not (and were thus much quicker to return to the prompt). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (900, 'stable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-powerpc64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_AU.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages bzr depends on: ii libc6 2.9-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii python 2.5.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-celementtree 1.0.5-10 Light-weight toolkit for XML proce ii python-central 0.6.11 register and build utility for Pyt Versions of packages bzr recommends: ii bzrtools 1.13.0-1 Collection of tools for bzr ii ca-certificates 20081127 Common CA certificates ii python-paramiko 1.7.4-0.1 Make ssh v2 connections with pytho Versions of packages bzr suggests: pn bzr-gtk <none> (no description available) ii bzr-svn 0.5.3-1 Bazaar plugin providing Subversion pn python-kerberos <none> (no description available) ii python-pycurl 7.18.2-1 Python bindings to libcurl ii xdg-utils 1.0.2-6.1 desktop integration utilities from -- no debconf information -- \ “A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for | `\ a coffin.” —Henry L.
