this bug is still here, it can be reproduced using notify-send: $ notify-send "bug #416126" "I am overlapping some panel, aren't I?" a clear picture which shows the issue is: http://trac.galago-project.org/ticket/109 It looks like the issue is not present in upstream code, but rather it is introduced by a debian patch about xinerama (so maybe the issue is someway linked to #518740 ?
