Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.26-13 A bug in Linux's VMI implementation that can cause hangs and reboots was fixed by commit 55a8ba4b7f76bebd7e8ce3f74c04b140627a1bad (which in turn requires commit eba0045ff87bab465d3c80c289f3bf709c1800f5) and has been incorporated into the 2.6.28 stable series. Please consider including it in Debian's 2.6.26.
I have had a couple of Debian guests running 2.6.26-13 plus these two patches on one of our ESX clusters for a few days and the symptom I was observing (massively excessive hypervisor memory usage as reported in the Memory Overhead field) is no longer present.
