I am the upstream author of libsndfile.

Earlier in the the history of this bug Kurt Roeckx reported:

> test_wrapper.sh: line 33: 31486 Floating point exception./floating_point_test
> - ia64, mips, mipsel, hppa, armel show one of:
> Line 231: Actual SNR ( 58.7) > target SNR (-31.0).
> Line 231: Actual SNR ( 57.4) > target SNR (-31.0).
> Line 279: Actual SNR ( 59.3) > target SNR (-29.0).
> Line 231: Actual SNR ( 0.0) > target SNR (-31.0).

I assume this last one is for armel which turned out to be a bug
in gcc for that platform:

There is more info in the upstream vorbis bug tracker:

If someone can run my hacked together test from the bzr repo in
that trac comment on ia64, mips, mipsel, hppa etc I'll take a
look at it.

Cheers,
Erik

C offers you enough rope to hang yourself. C++ offers a fully equipped
