This should be discussed with detex's author. Would you be willing to do that? That would have two major advantages over our (the Debian TeX maintainers) doing it: - You are really using the tool and really know what is needed - If it remains out task, I bet it won't be done in a useful timeframe. In other words, not in 2009 for sure, maybe not in 2010. Look at our list of bugs.
