first of all, please make sure the slamr.ko module has actually been
loaded: the behaviour you are reporting can happen when some other
suitable module (i.e. intel-8x0m, not supporting voice functions) has
been loaded at boot time, thus preventing slamr module from being
loaded; in such situations the sl-modem-daemon will configure the daemon
to use the already loaded ALSA module, which in most cases is just fine.

Please send us your lsmod output.

Other issues can happen if the slamr module has been loaded too early
during the boot process: please try stopping the daemon
(/etc/init.d/sl-modem-daemon stop), make sure that the slamr module has
been unloaded, then restart the daemon. If this solves the issue, the
sl-modem-* unstable version could be the solution.

Thanks

Mau
