Package: git
Version: 4.9.4-1
Followup-For: Bug #507014
I would expect apt-get install git would be the equilivent of
'sudo aptitude install git-core git-buildpackage pristine-tar'
dwri...@debian:~/$ which git
dwri...@debian:~/$ sudo apt-get install git
dwri...@debian:~/$ which git
dwri...@debian:~/$
dwri...@debian:~/$ sudo aptitude install git-core git-buildpackage pristine-tar
dwri...@debian:~/$ which git
/usr/bin/git
I had to do a search to find how to install git,
("Git - Fast Version Control System") in debian, seems sub-optimal.
running lenny.
