Package: backup-manager
Version: 0.7.8-1
Severity: normal
Preface/Use case:
I run Debian on a workstation at home and I am currently trying out
backup software in the repository. This means i search through the
package descriptions and install the packages I think might be fitting
for the task. After that I try them out, one at another. Since testing
backup software takes some time, the installed packages wont get used
for a few days or even weeks.
What's wrong (IMHO):
I also installed backup-manager and discovered a few days later that my
backup volume (which has only ~30GiB free space left) starts filling
up ~5GiB/day because backup-manager was already installed as a daily
cronjob.
Expected behaviour:
Don't install software, which is able to fill up free diskspace quickly,
as cronjob per default. This should be done explicit by the user.
Best Regards,
Martin
