While testing latest pulseaudio from git i made an a52 setup which can be used
from
pulseaudio out of the box, i want to share this with other users. Pulseaudio
calls a
device with a parameter (card index), in the a52 case as a52:0. The A52 plugin
by
default has not an index and it's assumed from alsa-lib to not be used with
one. I
hope you can get this also included to upstream source.
My example:
#####
# Description: This will make it possible to use a52 with PulseAudio out of the
box. It
# may be useful for other usecases. Just include this in your
~/.asoundrc .
pcm.a52 {
type a52
@args.0 {
type integer
default 0
}
}
# Usage: aplay -D plug:a52:0 /foo.wav
#####
Thanks
