Package: wmcliphist Severity: wishlist I have used wmcliphist for ages in both windowmaker (where it is native) and using the gnome panel app swallower. The reason I need it is that unlike other clipboards (glipper, klipper, xfce's clip, etc), it allows one to prvent the overwriting of items saved to the buffer by right clicking them. For me, this was a crucial feature making it my clipboard of choice over all the others (I wish they all would develop this).
Lenny dropped wmcliphist. Trying to install an earlier version, or compile from source, both failed dependencies which manual installation did not correct. I HIGHLY request restoration of this application, since NO OTHER clipboard provides the VERY IMPORTANT feature wmcliphist does. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
