Hi, I'm not sure I understand you.  The bglibs on Debian are installed
as stated in /usr/share/doc/bglibs-dev/README.Debian.  What's this
``custom configuration and load scripts'', and how do they fail?

That's not possible, Debian packages must not install files into the
/usr/local hierarchy.
