For the bug reported in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=556458 there is a proposed fix in comment 12 for glib (gio/gfile.c) that resolves the segfault. So I assume this is a glib bug. for the other bug I don't know if it is a glib bug, it might be a GVFS bug indeed.
