Package: shared-mime-info Version: 0.60-1 Severity: important When I double click any .avi file, the file does not open and I get this message: ---start error message--- Cannot open XYZ.avi The filename "XYZ.avi" indicates that this file is of type "avi document". The contents of the file indicate that the file is of type "AVI video". If you open this file, the file might present a security risk to your system.
Do not open the file unless you created the file yourself, or received the file from a trusted source. To open the file, rename the file to the correct extension for "AVI video", then open the file normally. Alternatively, use the Open With menu to choose a specific application for the file. ---end error message--- I am using Gnome. I think this is the correct package to file the bug against, but I could be wrong. chris. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages shared-mime-info depends on: ii libc6 2.9-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.19.8-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libxml2 2.6.32.dfsg-5 GNOME XML library shared-mime-info recommends no packages. shared-mime-info suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
