Ok, I changed the /etc/init.d/cupsys file myself very simply (and put
it up here: http://boneschanscher.net/~johannes/cupsys) I removed the --background things in start en restart I removed the -F things in start en restart That's all :-) Cups will self fork away as soon as it is ready. Rather a trivial patch - but I don't know anything about debian policy - maybe you can use it? Currently I'm organizing Debian CUPS maintainance team instead of maintaining the monster by only me, and awaiting Debian-Alioth admin team creates Subversion repository for us. Thanks, |
