Hello, I have found a working version of smbclient on a Knoppix 5.1.0 from February 2008. The smbclient version of the smbclient is 3.0.23d. All newer Version´s I have tested up to 3.3.X are not working for me. Even the 3.0.24 that comes with Etch don´t give out the right "du" size´s.
The old version has at least one bug remaining in my environment. It won´t show the correct size of files in a subdirecrory by a directly "du". Only when Im trying to get the right size with: smbclient //myserver/myShare -U Myuser -c "archive 0; recurse; du" it works. That´s how Amanda does it. I hope this is a kind of useful information for you and maybe some files out a bug from the integration of smbclient in Debian Etch, Lenny and so on. Greetings -- Jetzt 1 Monat kostenlos!
