Package: nvidia-kernel-source Version: 180.22-2 Severity: normal
The package currently in unstable (173.14.09-5) is unusable on recent kernels (2.6.28.x), the package in experimental works fine. I think the package has spent enough time in experimental and it should be moved to unstable. I use unstable because I want the latest software, yet the latest software is in experimental. I don't see the point of keeping something in experimental more than a few days ... -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28.3 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nvidia-kernel-source depends on: ii debhelper 7.0.17 helper programs for debian/rules ii dpatch 2.0.30 patch maintenance system for Debia ii make 3.81-5 The GNU version of the "make" util ii sed 4.1.5-8 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages nvidia-kernel-source recommends: ii devscripts 2.10.44 scripts to make the life of a Debi ii kernel-package 11.015 A utility for building Linux kerne ii nvidia-glx 180.22-2 NVIDIA binary Xorg driver nvidia-kernel-source suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
