hi tzafrir, yeah, it's a sticky issue between whether no server should be empty or map to "localhost" (different things break depending on which way it behaves). at some point the template output format from dbconfig-generate-include was modified to do just this, but i don't recall why the others weren't changed similarly.
i'll see if i can figure out why, and in any event probably introduce
a new postinst variable to control/change the default behavior in the
next version.
