We don't want --case-ok to be the default, since it would allow you to create a repository that couldn't be used on certain filesystems (most notably HFS+), which is a real pain. Actually, your usage *would* be safe, since you're renaming the directory itself. We could perhaps add a special-case for this scenario, since it seems like perhaps a moderately common one and a safe scenario. -- David Roundy
