Package: testdisk Version: 6.9-1.1 Severity: minor As there is no dbg package for this, trying this again in gdb would produce little information. In the past I've rolled my own package from source without strip, but I'm not sure how to create the package with gdb debug symbols. Can you advise on that first, then I'll roll a debug package with gdb debug symbols, and I'll replicate the issue?
I get about two gb of content recovered before the segfault with photorec. I have a lot of spare disks I'm scrubbing to locate a lost set of source code :) (should be a tarball on one of these). Anyway, for personal reference, this is tome:/usr/local/backup/2/. (so I can retest later when I see your reply).
