As requested in the call for translations, PO files for langupdate should have been sent directly to me because langupdate has not been uploaded yet.
I only came across the bug report by chance as there is no maintainer for the unknown package. It's also the program that is being translated, not the debconf templates (langupdate doesn't use debconf).
