Hi Technical Committee, Gerrit Pape, the maintainer of git-core in Debian, does not want to provide an initscript for git-daemon but rather prefers to force people into using his own init system runit.
As LSB init scripts are the standard in the Debian distribution, I think that an initscript for git-daemon should indeed be included. Due to the maintainer's unwillingness and nowadays unresponsiveness, I'm calling on the Technical Committee to resolve this issue. Regards, Maximilian Gaß
