I didn't notice this bug a long time as I mostly have only one window of xchat opened. But with several windows (channels detached from the main window), trying to hide xchat by clicking on the systray icon hides exactly one window for each click until all windows are hidden. Next click restores one window, next click hides that window again. I haven't found a way to get back to the other windows except by closing the window. So I end up closing xchat and opening it again, and just avoid hiding it as long as I have more than one window opened.
