I can reproduce it by:
1. Browsing for shares from my winxp sp2 client (start | run | \\server)
2. Trying to write to a share from DOS (copy * \\server\share)
I got another segfault message:
The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action,
was called for pid 14752 (/usr/sbin/smbd (deleted)).
