The directories are definitely world readable:

master:/var/lib/smokeping# ls -ls
total 20
4 drwxr-xr-x 2 smokeping smokeping 4096 2008-10-30 06:40 Aarhus
4 drwxr-xr-x 2 smokeping smokeping 4096 2008-10-30 06:30 Copenhagen
4 drwxr-xr-x 2 smokeping smokeping 4096 2008-10-30 06:40 Malaga
4 drwxr-xr-x 2 smokeping smokeping 4096 2008-10-30 06:40 Odense
4 drwxr-xr-x 4 smokeping smokeping 4096 2008-10-31 05:03 World
master:/var/lib/smokeping# ls -ls Copenhagen/
total 4968
1656 -rw-r--r-- 1 smokeping smokeping 1688512 2009-01-14 07:12 Firewall.rrd
1656 -rw-r--r-- 1 smokeping smokeping 1688512 2009-01-14 07:12 Proxy.rrd
1656 -rw-r--r-- 1 smokeping smokeping 1688512 2009-01-14 07:12 Web.rrd

It's not clear if smokeping interfaces in jffnms are added recursively, so I
have tried both /var/lib/smokeping and /var/lib/smokeping/Copenhagen as the
SNMPv1 community in the host in jffnms. IP address is left empty as described
in the manual.

Manuel poller run does:

jff...@master:/usr/share/jffnms/engine$ php5 poller.php 30
07:14:14 : H 30 : Poller Start : 0 Items.
07:14:14 : H 30 : Poller End, Total Time: 87.84 msec.

Nothing in other words :)

It should be mentioned that Smokeping itself runs fine (I'll email you an url
in private).
