I have installed usplash on a 0.5.19-3 from experimental on a machine which will have apache2 and mysql 5.1 (again, from experimental) running.
Mysql init script takes a long time checking for "uncleanly closed" etc. tables. Hence I suggest that the time out period should be extended. My own machine is currently facing the ide_generic bug (probing - or whatever - for non-existent floppy drive), and usplash times out on this also. -- Mahesh T.
