OK, I tried to import your JPEG and TIFF files with inkscape from unstable,
lenny1, and lenny2. For lenny2 I used the packae I have built here on my own
and the one I downloaded from the debian t-p-u for amd64.
The import works with all these versions of inkscape for me here. I did not
test the tracing, sice I understood, inkscape crashed during the import of the
files. Did I get this right?
Changing the locale setting to de...@euro did not cause problems here, also.
The next thing I'll do is to got through the packages you and I have installed
and try to find differences there.
