For 0.6 or 0.7, i.e.are there apps in lenny which (solely) rely on NM for detecting online state and are broken because of that? I know, that iceweasel no longer does use NM (by default). I planned to import the patch for 0.7 (exp) only, but if important (lenny) apps are seriously broken by this, the situation would be different.
