* Package name : tog-pegasus Version : 2.5.1 Upstream Author : Pegasus Team <pegasu...@openpegasus.org> * URL : http://www.openpegasus.org/ * License : BSD Description : OpenPegasus WBEM server WBEM (Web Based Enterprise Management) is a platform and resource independent standard that defines a common information model and communication protocol for monitoring and controlling resources from diverse sources. It is considered a peer and sucessor to the popular SNMP protocol. OpenPegasus is an open source implementation of a WBEM server and client tools. The WBEM standard is managed by the DMTF (Distributed Management Task Force) at http://www.dmtf.org/ This would help introducing Debian in an IBM environment as IBM Director does not include an agent for Debian (only RPM-distros) but does seem to support monitoring WBEM systems (according to http://www.clipper.com/research/TCG2005063.pdf ). -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
