gscan2pdf does not allow for scans to be have their brightness or
contrast to be adjusted (except through involving Tools/GIMP, and then
after the scan and only for individual scans). Suggest
1. Gscan2pdf has option to allow for brightness and contrast to be set
prior to a scan
2. such an option should allow the values to be chosen (perhaps in the
same way that Xsane does in its "Standard Options" window
3. that the option should apply to all scans made prior to scanning
4. (ideal) have a preview mode to see effect of option.
Method, through use of ImageMagick commands:
Contrast: -contrast-stretch
Brightness: -modulate brightness,saturation,hue
Assuming these are the equivalent commands for those found in GIMP
under Colors/Brightness-Contrast
