Package: gtk2-engines-gtk-qt
Version: 0.60-1
Severity: wishlist

At present, setting Gtk style and font in the KDE control center
generates a ~/.gtkrc-2.0. This overrides GNOME's own way of setting
the widget style, which is trough gnome-settings-daemon. For a person
using both desktops, this is an annoyance. If ~/.gtrc-2.0 exists,
using gnome-theme-manager will result in crashes of panel applets and
the gnome-panel itself.

An easy way to avoid this is through using an alternative
gtkrc. Gtk+-2 apps will use a gtkrc provided though
$GTK2_RC_FILES.

So you might want to use e.g. $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0-kde instead of the
current default in order to avoid conflicts with GNOME. Of course, the
environment variable has to be set sometime during the startup
process, e.g. in /usr/bin/startkde.

Thanks,

Johannes
