Hi, the uml-utilities init script calls lsb_release -is, yet the DISTRO variable seems to be used nowhere. The lsb_release call is rather costly, according to bootchart, it takes up to 1,5 secs on my laptop (as it queries the apt db and does all sorts of weird stuff). So best remove line 16 of the init script altogether.
