Package: linda
Version: 0.3.13.sarge.1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Linda complains erroneously about a package containing the following menu
file:

?package(paw):needs="text" \
        section="Apps/Science" \
        title="PAW" \
        longtitle="The Physics Analysis Workstation" \
        icon="/usr/share/pixmaps/paw32x32.xpm" \
        command="sh -c 'paw -d X11.dynamic -w `[ x${DISPLAY} = x ] ; echo $?`'"

[The idea is to give paw the "-w 0" flag if running in text mode and the
"-w 1" flag if running under X; in the latter case paw will know it can
open a graphical window.]

The warnings given by linda are as follows:

benjo[36]:~/src/CERNLIB% linda paw_2005.05.09-1_i386.deb
W: paw; The command "sh -c 'paw -d X11.dynamic -w `[ x${DISPLAY} listed in a
menu file does not exist.
W: paw; The command x ] ; echo $?`'" listed in a menu file is not quoted.
W: paw; The command "sh -c 'paw -d X11.dynamic -w `[ x${DISPLAY} listed in a
menu file is not quoted.

As you can see, the command is in fact quoted; linda appears to be
confused by the `=' sign.

I apologize if this has already been fixed in 0.3.14; I don't have a
workstation running sid to test on at the moment.
