With 11.012 I see
$ file boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-*
boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-allnoconfig: Linux kernel x86 boot executable
RO-rootFS, Normal VGA
boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-withxen: Linux kernel x86 boot executable
RO-rootFS, Normal VGA
i.e. both images are bzImage type which is IMHO correct.
