Package: pidgin-facebookchat
Version: 1.38-2
Severity: normal
Facebook seems to have load problems these days.
However that shouldn't cause pidgin to crash...
Here's a partial stack-trace of a typical crash:
#0 0x00000050 in ?? ()
#1 0xb77f15a8 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0
#2 0x0980f170 in ?? ()
#3 0xbfb9ffa8 in ?? ()
#4 0xb75ea6e5 in malloc () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#5 0xb602fb61 in facebook_update_cookies ()
from /usr/lib/purple-2/libfacebook.so
#6 0xb6031f5d in facebookim_post_or_get_readdata_cb ()
from /usr/lib/purple-2/libfacebook.so
#7 0x080a86c3 in ?? ()
These are the only two references to libfacebook found in the backtrace.
The behaviour I'm seeing is like this: pidgin starts, shows me some
facebook buddies, then the "invalid password or username" message
appears at the bottom and pidgin crashes.
