Dear Jeff,
in version 1.3.1-5, the synergy server freezes as soon as I hit any key on
the keyboard after having switched to the client machine by moving the mouse.
(All mouse actions work fine, also the clipboard.)
The server machine's kbd and mouse are usable again, only after having
killed the synergys process via ssh (killall -9 is necessary).
In 1.3.1-2, everything works as it should (which is the most recent version
on the snapshot server, which is suspicious anyway, but I could not find any
other bug report appearing relevant to this issue).
I use debian/sid on both machines (an amd64 and and i386).
Now comes the really funny behaviour:
Before submitting this bug report, I updated all packages (not the full
installation) on which synergys depends. The packages not up to date were:
libc6 2.7-12
libgcc1 1:4.3.1-9
libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1
libstdc++6 4.3.1-9
libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7
Both machines are on identical and recent update status now (see below),
but the problem still exists on one of the machines (the i386) but not on
the other. (I tried both, amd64 as server i386 as client and vice versa.)
Consequently, I installed 1.3.1-5 on the amd64 and 1.3.1-2 on the i386,
and synergys works in both directions.
I think, there is obviously still some dependency/version problem.
