Package: portmap Version: 6.0-6 Severity: important
If I want to upgrade my system via apt-get upgrade, apt-get hangs when trying to install the new version of portmap (6.0-7). It stops at the point "Preparing to replace portmap". If I interrupt apt-get with Strg+C, it says: "Warning, old pre-removal-script was killed. dpkg - try to use the script in the new package. Stopping portmap-deamon". Again, it hangs (is not able to stop the deamon). After killing it again with Strg+C dpkg reports, that there has been problem while upgrading. E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) If you need any further informations, please contact me. The error-messages might not be the exactly correct ones, since I translated them from german back to english. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_AT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_AT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages portmap depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.22 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.q-16 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip portmap recommends no packages. portmap suggests no packages. -- debconf information: portmap/loopback: false -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
