Using kvm with a german keyboard does not work properly, the @ and | keys (ALTGR+Q, ALTGR+<) are not seen in the client machine. (Tested with the included vnc client from virt-manager) This seems to be a qemu related problem, using the patch http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2008-11/msg00116.html everything works well. Unfortunatly, this patch is not compatible to the qemu_vnc_ext_key_event.diff used in the debian version... -- Package-specific info: selected information from lshal(1): /proc/cpuinfo: processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 15 model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 3040 @ 1.86GHz stepping : 2 cpu MHz : 1866.731 cache size : 2048 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 0 cpu cores : 2 apicid : 0 initial apicid : 0 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 10 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good pni monitor ds_cpl vmx est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr lahf_lm bogomips : 3736.76 clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: processor : 1 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 15 model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 3040 @ 1.86GHz stepping : 2 cpu MHz : 1866.731 cache size : 2048 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 1 cpu cores : 2 apicid : 1 initial apicid : 1 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 10 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good pni monitor ds_cpl vmx est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr lahf_lm bogomips : 3733.54 clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kvm depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii bridge-utils 1.4-5 Utilities for configuring the Linu ii iproute 20080725-2 networking and traffic control too ii libasound2 1.0.16-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.7-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgnutls26 2.4.1-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libncurses5 5.6+20080830-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.13-2 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii python 2.5.2-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages kvm recommends: ii linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64 [l 2.6.24-7 Linux 2.6.24 image on AMD64 ii linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64 [l 2.6.26-8 Linux 2.6.26 image on AMD64 Versions of packages kvm suggests: ii debootstrap 1.0.10 Bootstrap a basic Debian system ii hal 0.5.11-3 Hardware Abstraction Layer ii kvm-source 72+dfsg-1.1 Source for the KVM driver pn samba <none> (no description available) ii vde2 2.2.2-1 Virtual Distributed Ethernet -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
