Package: hdaps-utils
Version: 0.1-1.1
Severity: normal

There is no documentation with hdaps-utils.
Tha man page consists of 5 incomprehensible lines for both of the two
utilities supplied.

hdaps-pivot text-based application that shows the laptop position
 in real-time via hdaps.

What is a "laptop position"? Does it tell me I am in London? Does
it tell me the laptop is on my lap? Does it tell me if it is upside
down? If the author cannot even explain what this does, why is it in
the distro? Who put it there? And why?

Part of Thinkpad HDAPS (Hard Drive Active Protection System)
 utilities.

Yes, the other part seems to be hdaps-gl. Which has a worse man page!

hdaps-gl GL-based laptop model that rotates in real-time via hdaps.

What?!!! That's not even english. The verb in the sentence is missing!

I have no idea what could have been meant. Please get somebody japanese
to write this man page - it might be more comprehensible!

COme to that, what is a "GL-based laptop". And what is a "laptop
model"? And since when do laptops "rotate"? and what has "real time"
(note, no hyphen, conventionally) to do with anything? Never mind that
telling us what hdaps initials mean doesn't tell us anything about what
it is.

Before run this application be sure you have hdaps driver running.

And what is a "hdaps driver"? (missing article: the? a?).

SInce this seems to be connected with a hard drive, why does it mention
laptops? Laptops don't always have hard drives, and hard drives aren't
restricted to laptops. What is the connection?

I am completely mystified. I would look at the source code in the hope
of getting some info, but I'm not on the net at the moment.
