Maintainer keeps closing this bug because he claims it is for the unstable X server but did also deliberately put the package in experimental instead of unstable.
When I reply that I have X server form experimental installed, he objects that I do not know of to use apt! I do explicitly want the 1.5.2 X server that is available in experimental and I also would like that the experimental package play nicely with other experimental packages (especially currently when kde4 require experimental!) Sound too complicated to understand. And BTW: I do run it already using today's git and have been for quite a long time but as it is fairly stable it should be made more broadly available: - either by putting it in unstable once the new stable is out - or by making experimental consistent X.Org X Server 1.5.2 <================ Release Date: 10 October 2008 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.17.7 x86_64 Debian Current Operating System: Linux tri-yann3 2.6.27.4 #13 SMP PREEMPT Sun Oct 26 09:56:37 CET 2008 x86_64 Build Date: 12 October 2008 11:36:41AM ...
