Package: alpine
Version: 0.999999+dfsg-1~bpo40+1
Severity: normal

If Alpine is in an incoming mail folder and suddenly cannot access the server
anymore, it
displays a status message every 15s and asks if the connection should be broken
every 60s.
Unfortunately this happens rather often with the servers I use. So, if I write
a longer
reply or just keep Alpine open while doing something else, it often keeps
beeping every
60s.

So I set "Suppress Status Message Beeping" but Alpine contnues its awful noise
totally
unphased.

As I have never seen a connection reappear after 60s or more, I would even
prefer Alpine
to break the connection immediately and possibly re-open the folder. How do I
do that?
