Several package maintainers add scripts that do this sort of thing:

dpkg -l libfreetype6 libxft2 fontconfig >&3
It would be nice if these packages could be listed in the control file
using a syntax like this:
Additional-Package-Versions: libfreetype6 libxft2 fontconfig
producing output like:
