Any bug that causes the equivalent of a crash is critical. I you think that one can do without that menu item then remove the menu item.
There is no way I can use a program in one of my classes that will hang if a student selects an obvious menu item to run their program. What would users of gnumeric say if we just ignore crashes with the comment "just don't do that".
