Bug #323030 is now really old. In the meantime, samba has changed a *lot* as well as the entire environment for this bug.
I very much doubt we can do anything with it now, and got no more input since last time Noèl tried to get some, back in Aug. 2008. So, I'm very much tempted to close the bug definitely now. --
