Package: gaim Version: 1:1.2.1-1.1 Severity: important In the prefs i can set the external IP to be used. This IP is available as alias IP on one of my local interfaces and can directly be used to connect to the outside world. Unfortunatelly GAIM refuses to use this IP but rather goes with the default IP of the device and screwing the entire benefit of having a public IP for file transfers etc..
On the other hand I want to set the ports to be used for setting up port-forwarding. Again those ports are not respected for binding or file transfers at all. Thus doing a static port-forwarding in order to circumvent NAT is impossible. Maybe I'm misreading the Prefs, but to me there's nothing to see like "this works for ICQ.... NOT". -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11ac2 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE.UTF-8) Versions of packages gaim depends on: ii gaim-data 1:1.2.1-1.1 multi-protocol instant messaging c ii libao2 0.8.6-1 Cross Platform Audio Output Librar ii libaspell15 0.60.2+20050121-2 The GNU Aspell spell-checker runti ii libatk1.0-0 1.8.0-4 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libaudiofile0 0.2.6-6 Open-source version of SGI's audio ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcrypt11 1.2.0-11.1 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnutls11 1.0.16-13.1 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.4-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgtkspell0 2.0.10-1 a spell-checking addon for GTK's T ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.1-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System Session Management ii libstartup-notificatio 0.8-1 library for program launch feedbac ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
