First of all, I'll say I'm really enthusiastic about having NetBeans in main, and really appreciate Roberto's work.
I think it would be a lot easier (i.e., closer to mainstream) to add the parameter Ant needs to build with jdk6, instead of patching the build script, only leaving the need to patch AdministrationService.java for the whole thing to work.
