Package: libmcrypt4 Version: 2.5.7-5 Severity: important Hi,
libmcrypt4 should not ship /usr/lib/libmcrypt.la and /usr/share/aclocal/libmcrypt.m4 These files belong into the dev package. Those files also make it impossible to co-install new versions of libmcrypt with a different soname, making library transitions unnecessary painful. In addition, the package ships to empty directories /usr/lib/libmcrypt/ /usr/bin This looks like a typical packaging bug. Please fix this. Cheers, Michael P.S: Please also apply the patch to libmcrypt.m4. The bug is open for *over 3 years* with a patch attached. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (300, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.27-rc9 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libmcrypt4 depends on: ii libc6 2.7-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries libmcrypt4 recommends no packages.
